How long does chicken soup stay fresh?
I made chicken soup from scratch 7 days ago (with chicken pieces, vegetables, herbs). Due to an emergency I had to travel and only got back today. Now I'm back and I have a whole stock pot in my fridge filled with chicken soup. Is it still fresh? Or should I dump it? How long does chicken soup usually last in the fridge? Thanks!
I just made a batch of chicken soup last week too and it lasted a little over a week. As long as you heat it up very hot to a boil, then it should be fine. I am making a fresh pot today. I can't live without homemade chicken soup in the winter!
What can I do to a chicken noodle soup recipe to make it be creamy?
I want to make creamy chicken noodle soup, I keep finding really good recepies for just chicken noodle soup, but I want that thicker consistency. Can I substitute cream of chicken soup or something along those lines for some of the chicken broth? will that thicken it up or should I take another approach? Thanks so much!
I add Cream of Chicken soup, but I also saute my celery, onion and carrots in some butter and flour before adding to my soup, it works wonders! All the yummy flavor sweats out and you get a nice thickener to boot.
How many cups of shredded chicken does a 3 or 4 pound chicken yield?
I have a recipe that calls for a 3 or 4 pound chicken cooked and shredded. I only have boneless skinless chicken breasts in the fridge. How many chicken breasts would I need to be equivalent to a 3 or 4 pound chicken?

Do you know a really good spicy chicken noodle soup recipe?
Soup is one of my favorite foods. I want to make a spicy chicken soup or with noodles that is thick, but not like chowder. It cant be loose like the junk in cans. If possible one that tastes similar to the spicy chicken soup at carrabas, if anyone even knows what that tastes like. Please help me find the best soup possible.
